Proposal for a press release for wide distribution, elaborated following the workshop "Towards a social contract of co-responsibility for the well-being of all" during the 2nd International Forum on Living Well in Grenoble on July 1st, 2022. This press release is a contribution to the Universal Solidarity Project.

Let's change our look! The king is naked!

1. The great challenge for humanity, as confirmed by the IPCC, is to: To reach a sobriety ensuring the well-being of all within the limits of what the planet can support

In particular, reduce GHG emissions to 2 tons per person per year (minus 6% per year over 25 years for Europeans) - This shows that :

2. So-called individual successes are in fact often failures that must be stopped as soon as possible

Because this model of success generates addictions: excessive consumption, the accumulation of money, the monopolization of property and the race for power. All of these become "bottomless pits", impossible to regulate by oneself when one is caught up in them, and which lead us to the destruction of the planet.

3. True success is expressed in collective approaches to the well-being of all

Ensuring the well-being of all with the fewest possible resources is necessarily a collective and supportive approach, in neighborhoods, villages, territories and at the intercontinental level. It is through this collective sharing that the individual will find his fullness.

If you agree with these three precepts, Pass them on to families, to those around you, to the media, to elected officials, to schools and universities, etc.

So that it becomes a new culture of society that humanity urgently needs for its own survival and that of the planet. If you are already involved in collective approaches or wish to do so, or if you are politicians who have already made the leap, let's call on public policies to radically change towards this new vision. So make yourself known In the exchange platforms so that we learn from each other how to progress in this direction so that our collective future is still possible!

Let's get together !

Signatories: a group of citizens gathered at the 2nd International Forum on Well-Being.
